Effective date: October 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Odoly iOS app (bundle ID com.roberttebault.MileLog) (the "App"), developed by Robert Tebault, a U.S.-based individual developer ("I" or "me"), handles your information. In short: your data stays on your device and in your own iCloud. I don't run servers, require accounts, use analytics or ads, or include third-party SDKs, and I never see or sell your data.
I do not collect your name, email, contacts, device identifiers for tracking, analytics, crash data, or advertising data.
Only to provide the App's features: logging trips, calculating distances and mileage amounts, organizing trips by account code, generating CSV and PDF reports, syncing (Pro), and unlocking purchased features.
I do not sell, rent, or share your personal information, and I do not use it for targeted advertising. The only data that leaves your device goes to Apple services the App relies on: - Apple MapKit: Address/business search queries, and the locations needed to calculate driving distance, are sent to Apple to return results. See Apple's privacy policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/. - iCloud/CloudKit: Synced data for Pro users (stored in your account). - App Store/StoreKit: Purchases and subscription status, processed by Apple.
I may disclose information only if legally required, but because I don't hold your data, I generally have nothing to disclose.
Your data is kept until you delete it. You can: - Delete individual trips or account codes in the App. - Delete the App to remove all locally stored data. - Remove iCloud data in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage (or Manage Storage) → Odoly → Delete Data, or turn off iCloud for Odoly.
Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. Manage subscriptions in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data is protected by your device's security and Apple's iCloud security. Use a device passcode and keep your Apple ID secure. No method of storage is 100% secure.
Residents of California and other states with consumer privacy laws may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of personal information, to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" or of targeted advertising, to limit use of sensitive personal information (such as precise location), and to not be discriminated against for using these rights. I do not sell or share personal information, do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling, and use precise location only to provide the features you request. Because your data is stored on your device and in your iCloud, you can exercise most of these rights directly using the controls in Section 5. For questions or requests, contact me at the email below.
For any personal data processed in connection with the App, the controller is Robert Tebault. Processing is based on providing the service you request (contract) and, for location, your consent, which you can withdraw in iOS Settings. Apple acts as an independent provider of its services. You have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability (CSV export), and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Data handled by Apple services may be processed outside your country under Apple's safeguards.
I may update this Policy and will post the new version with an updated effective date. Material changes will be noted in the App or the release notes.
